Ametrine, also called bolivianite, anahite, or ayoreite, is a gemstone, a variety of quartz, formed by the association of areas with the color of amethyst and areas with the color of citrine. The name, which has stuck in international scientific and commercial literature, is a combination of amethyst and citrine.
