Dravite is a cyclosilicate mineral belonging to the tourmaline group, characterized as magnesium tourmaline, with a brownish or yellowish color. Discovered in Slovenia in 1883, it owes its name to the fact that it was found in abundance near the Drava River. In addition to its physical properties, such as a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale, it is attributed with esoteric properties, such as emotional stability and protection against negative energies.
