Fluorapatite, or apatite-(CaF₂), is a phosphate mineral (calcium halophosphate). Fluorapatite is a hard, crystalline solid. Although samples may exhibit various colors (green, brown, blue, violet, or colorless), the pure mineral is colorless, as expected for a material lacking transition metals. It is a major component of tooth enamel.
