Brucite is a mineral composed primarily of magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)₂). It commonly occurs as white, gray, or greenish flakes or fibrous masses with a pearly luster. Some of the best-formed and most translucent specimens are found in the Killa Saifullah district of Pakistan, which has attracted the interest of collectors and mineralogists.
