Ferberite is a tungsten and iron oxide mineral with the chemical formula Fe2+WO4. Its name comes from Moritz Rudolph Ferber, a German amateur mineralogist, who discovered this mineral in 1863 in the Sierra Almagrera (Almería, Spain). There is a variety of ferberite, a pseudomorph replacing scheelite, which is called reinite.
